I can't speak to the ride quality. I had a 2007 CC long bed, now a 2022 CC long bed. So I've never had any ride experience with a CC short bed. My 2022 does ride a little better than my 2007 did. I will say the turning radius on the long bed CC really sucks, I guess one of the penalties of having the longer vehicle. I can speak to the rarity. I had a hard time getting one in my area. When I got mine, there were only about 7 within a 250 mile radius. Last time I looked I think there were about 10 -12.
