Stana Katic is a Canadian-American actress and producer. She was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on April 26, 1978. She is the daughter of mother Rada Katic and father Peter Katic. Her mother is Serbian, while her father is Croatian. She has a sister and four brothers. Katic completed her graduation from West Aurora High School in Aurora, Chicago, Illinois, and then she also attended the University of Toronto. She also studied at DePaul University‘s Goodman School of Drama and then she joined Beverly Hills Playhouse.
Katic gained fame for her role as Detective Captain Kate Beckett Vera Mulqueen on the television series Castle from 2009 to 2016. She is also popular as Sofia’s role in the film For Lovers Only in 2011, and as Lenore Kandel in the movie Big Sur in 2013. Stana started her acting career with Annie’s role in the short film Acid Freaks in 1999, and she began her career on television with Mariella’s role on the television series The Handler in 2004. She also starred as Agent Emily Byrne on the television series Absentia from 2017.
