Users who come to the platform to consume porn also visit other pages and subreddits that do not contain NSFW content, says Jamie Cohen, a professor on social media and advertising aesthetics at CUNY Queens college. “Reddit actually tracks page visits and subreddit visits and then sends personalized data which offers new avenues for advertisers to use,” he says.
