We had the official and unofficial nude beaches inside Sydney and we can honestly say that we were surprised at how beautiful they are. We can’t imagine an urban nude beach in Europe being this picturesque. But then again, this is Australia, a country famous for its spectacular beaches. And some of these can be visited without a bathing suit too.
Brendan Jones started the social group Get Naked in Australia about six years ago after a fun shot he posted of his bum next to a waterfall went viral and inspired others to take their own nude nature pics.
Inconveniently for Mr Smith, Queensland is one of the only states in Australia that doesn't have a single nude beach. Or at least a legal one.

So why are we heading in the other direction in Australia, where the tightening of nudity rules extends beyond the NSW North Coast? In northern Tasmania, the decision of the West Tamar Council to turn Pebble Beach in Narawntapu National Park into a nude beach was rescinded in June after public outcry. Victoria’s Sunnyside Beach on the Mornington Peninsula was saved only after a dedicated online campaign from local naturalists.
