Every June, dozens of nude riders from different cities and countries take to the French Quarter of New Orleans for the annual World Naked Bike Ride. This fun extravaganza is held to raise the awareness of bicycling as well as to declare the beauty of the human body, both individual and vulnerable. The overall aim is the promotion of cycling as clean and safe means of transportation versus motorized vehicles along with their negative impact on the environment we live in, and global oil dependency.

The World Naked Bike Ride returns for a joy-filled and nearly-nude cruise throughout the streets of Chicago. The annual event is designed to support body positivity and independence from fossil fuel via a four-hour, 14-mile bike ride that invites participants to arrive "bare as [they] dare." (Just remember that full-frontal nudity is illegal in Chicago!)
