Miss Nude America (also released in the U.S. as "The Contest"), the 1976 James P. Blake nudist sexploitation documentary ("The beauty contest you will never see on TV!"; "Every summer thousands of people gather at Naked City, Indiana to witness 'The Contest'"; "The outrageous, bizarre, hilarious behind-the-scenes story of the Miss Nude America Pageant"; "90 Minutes of American Madness!"; "Filmed live on stage and backstage! Completely uncensored"; "A film exposing a bizarre American phenomenon ...and the man behind it.") starring "50 Naked American Beauties"

This film gives an interesting view of the eagernes of American males to see women in the nude. It's amazing to see and hear them working the shutter button at maximum speed, not caring for composition or background. Most of the girls are reaonably handsome, the naked men are either to fat or to hirsute, but most males, nearly all very obese stay happily clothed. The editing of the film is amateurish to put it friendly. Still this is an instructive view of puritans gone to the s. HJE
