Fort Lauderdale has eclipsed Miami as Florida's go-to destination and Sebastian Street Beach, between Sunrise Boulevard and Las Olas Boulevard, definitely flies the rainbow flag. Mostly popular with men, it's close to the bars, restaurants and nightclubs of Wilton Manors, as well as a plethora of hotels and resorts.
"In order to get to the beach, you have to walk around a tricky rocky area. It's not as if you just accidentally walk around you enter the nude beach, it's quite a deliberate action to get there," he said.
“We’re one of the top 10 nude beaches in the world,” said Judy Williams, chairperson of the Wreck Beach Preservation Society. “For people who are incarcerated in concrete, steel, and glass most of their days, they can escape that and come down to the beach and be one with nature.”
